2008 Plan

Hi there,
I don’t drop in here all that frequently as I’m usually busy with this n that. But I do want to just drop a line to others who will understand what I’m talking about, I’m sure others have the same problem when trying to explain what SEO is, or affiliate marketing or search engines and so on and on.

Anyway, 2007 was going to be the year I made money on the ‘net or gave it up, well, guess what? I’m giving it up.

But I am very excited by what I have decided to do for 2008.

This year I plan on not making any money online, but rather learning heaps of stuff I’ve wanted to learn, but never have because I had been trying to make money online.

I plan on becoming an open source forum junkie. I’ll explain by example. I want to learn PHP, mySQL, CSS, HTML and quite a few other technologies. How am I going to do that? I’m going to find software that interests me (open source, GPL, whatever you want to call it), install it, use it, customise it and then hang around on the that products support forum and answer support questions.

This way I will learn from others as well as help others and have others help me, I reckon it’s a great idea.

I have setup a site using some open source Youtube clone software. I customised the CSS to make the site look hot and the software guys featured my site and the traffic to that site has been over 3000 unique visitors a month for almost 6 months. They asked me to design a template for the new release of the script as well.

So 2008 is looking pretty good, I’m really excited by my plans for this year and feeling more positive about it all than I have for many years, I may even drop in here alot more to learn more as well.
